I am now providing piano lessons in Morpeth, Ashington and the surrounding areas of Northumberland. As well as possessing over a decade of experience, in which time I have provided piano tuition to many adults and children of all levels (to a high level of success), I have studied through the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) right up to grade 8, and have a degree in contemporary classical and popular music from Newcastle University. During my time at university I majored in classical composition and conducted my minor specialist study in music analysis (writing an analysis dissertation of Shostakovich's 8th string quartet). Other studied subject areas include counterpoint, music analysis (deep theory), orchestration, music of Soviet Union and orchestral conducting. I have also had a number of my own original compositions performed by the likes of the Manon String Quartet and the Heavy Cavalry and Cambrai Band.
